Grandma's Glass & Things

  I produce handmade stained glass decorative art work in my own shop.  These are not mass produced pieces, they are handmade.  I do custom work as well as products I have already made, that are available for purchase.  Each paper design is cut out and those pattern pieces are then traced onto the colored glass. The glass pieces are then cut out and the edges are ground smooth. Each piece is then washed and then wrapped in copper foil. After that, the glass is laid out on top of the original paper pattern and carefully soldered together. After it cools, I wash and apply a patina to the solder, it's washed again and then I add a thin coat of wax to protect from tarnishing.
